Day 01 :

Transfer to Serengeti National Park

You will be picked up from Arusha for a scenic 6–7 hour road transfer to Serengeti National Park. En route, enjoy stunning landscapes and photo opportunities. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive, spotting zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and more.

Day 02 :

Full Day in Serengeti & Maasai Community Visit

Start with an early breakfast before heading out for a full day game drive across the Serengeti’s iconic plains. Day 05 :

Gorilla Habituation & Batwa Community Experience

Rise early for a packed breakfast before heading to the Rushaga sector headquarters for a briefing on gorilla habituation. Spend 4–5 hours in the forest with semi-habituated mountain gorillas, observing their behavior and taking unforgettable photos. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community, engaging in activities like coffee roasting, forest walks, and learning about traditional lifestyles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 06 :

Transfer to Kigali & Departure

After a relaxed breakfast and some morning leisure, transfer back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will be taken to the airport for your departure, marking the end of an unforgettable African adventure.

1. What is the difference between gorilla trekking and gorilla habituation?

Gorilla habituation allows more time in the forest with the gorillas compared to standard trekking. You’ll observe their natural behavior closely while spending several hours with semi-habituated gorillas under the guidance of rangers and researchers.

We encourage adults to partake this trip and participants should be in good physical condition as the gorilla habituation involves hiking through steep and uneven forest terrain. Children under 15 may not be allowed for gorilla habituation, depending on park regulations.
